LED Display Installation Methods: A Quick Guide
In this quick guide, LEDTOP Technology provides practical LED display installation methods. These include fixed installation, mobile portable, rental hoisting, stadium screens, curved screens, and more. Moreover, you can use the notes below to choose the right method for your project.
Column Type
Use column-type structures mainly for outdoor advertising screens. Typically, you can choose single-column for small screens and double-column for large screens.
You can also choose single-sided or double-sided displays. For a slim look, pick front maintenance so the cabinet stays thin. Alternatively, to reduce cost, choose rear maintenance and reserve a 60–80 cm service aisle.
For example, schools, hospitals, and public utilities often deploy column-mounted LED displays for notices and promotions.

Wall-mounted Type
This method works indoors and outdoors. Generally, front maintenance requires a thinner cabinet. Additionally, add a protective frame around the screen edges to safeguard the display.

Mosaic Type
Embed the entire LED display into the wall so the display plane aligns with the wall surface. Therefore, this method suits small-pitch screens and smaller display areas, both indoors and outdoors.
Additionally, adopt a simple front-access cabinet design to simplify service.

Roof Installation
Install the screen on the building roof. Because wind resistance matters, secure both the display and the steel frame firmly for safety. Typically, you set an inclined viewing angle, or use modules with an 8° tilt.

Hoisting Type
Ceiling (hanging) screens come in fixed and rental options.
- Fixed installation: Place them at entrances of passages and corridors, station halls, railway and subway entrances. Additionally, use them for traffic guidance on roads and expressways.
- Rental installation: Use them for stage performances across different venues. To speed up setup, choose die-cast aluminum cabinets with quick locks, a top hanging beam, and a bottom beam. As a rule of thumb, avoid oversizing; keep the screen within about 6 m × 10 m for safer hoisting.

Floor-standing Type
Typical cases include perimeter stadium LED screens and LED poster screens used directly on the ground.
Perimeter stadium LED panels run around football or basketball fields for advertising. Meanwhile, you can adjust the viewing angle via the support-frame tilt. For safety, a soft silicone mask and soft arc top help protect players from collisions.

LED posters work indoors and outdoors with a base or wheels for easy movement. Commonly, malls, exhibition halls, and companies deploy them. They form a complete advertising control system through terminal software, network transmission, and multimedia display for pictures, text, videos, and small plug-ins.
